A DAY IN THE LIFE...
I thought this would be fun to look back at one day :)
I wake up at 6:30 with 2/3 of my kids in my bed. I have no idea how or when they got there. I don't think they were there at 4:00 when I got up to feed little G. Anyway, they all watch Franklin while Daniel and I get ready. Thats the easy part. It's getting them ready that's tricky sometimes.
So, my kindergardener hates to wear anything but shorts. I spend 20 minutes telling her that it is only 49 degrees and she will get cold in shorts. She tells me that she NEVER gets cold, and that she is sure that her best friend Corbin will be wearing shorts. We finally come to an agreement, if it is going to be warmer than 75 she can wear shorts. So far go good. Ally still wears what I give her, but she begs daily to wear a jacket(even when its 90).
I rush around trying to get breakfast ready and my house picked up before Kirstie gets here at 8:00. Then I drop off the other two at Ms. Kims. Ally sings "Let it Shine, Let it Shine" the whole way there, LOVE IT.
Get to work, deal with all the everyday stuff, and hire a new employee. Busy, busy morning, and then my 2:00 patient has the biggest retinal detachment I have ever seen. I hate that.
I leave at 3:20 to go pick Emma up. At least it is not hurricane flooding conditions like it was 3 days ago. I have never been so wet, and I still had to go back to work. I had to go home and get dry clothes. Crazy. Anyway, Emma colors while I see a few more patients. When I tell her on the way in to be quiet and not bug everyone, her response is "not even Stacey??". Then I go to pick up the other two, they had a good day. Ally tells me, like she does every single day, that she did not pee her pants. Cracks me up.
Come home and eat dinner(Griffin eats 2 large jars of baby food and screams for more) then Daniel plays an exciting game of candyland with the girls while I do Jillian's Shred level 2. OUCH. Give the girls their shower and Griffin his bath, and get them in watching Full House with their bednight snack. Wheat Thins and grapes, their favorite. I hear them in there talking and Ally is explaining to Emma that she wants to be Michelle. Emma says that SHE is Michelle and tells Ally that she can be Comet. Ally was fine with that :)
Finally get them all to sleep after I lay with Emma for 30 minutes and then lay with Ally for 30 minutes. I clean up the house and collapse on the couch with my computer. I think I fell asleep on the couch about 10:30(would have to ask Daniel for sure, haha).
I'm kind of exausted just writing about it. Wouldn't have it any other way though.
I am one lucky woman :)
